Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above post:
Responsibilities:
• Frequent and systematic visual inspections o council work sites Implement the works programme and over public works. Take site measurements, interpret blueprints and do quantity take offs for materials and labour.
• Make departmental materials requisitions as required.
• Supervise all subordinates and keep track o works vehicle logs and oversee timely maintenance ofpl ant and equipment.
• keep a clean and traceable record of job cards as primary source for works reports.
• Assessing and managing safety hazards.
• Audit workforce attendance.
• Prepare timely labour schedules forcasuals.
• Carry out any other job related assigned duties
Work/Educational Requirements
Person Specifications:
National Diploma in Construction or Quantity Surveyingor any relevant technical diploma.
• Must be functionally literate in computers, honest and capable to work under minimum supervision and must possess excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Minimum of two years work experience post diploma.
• A background with experience in local authority civil works has an added advantage.
