Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. To make preparations for international forums/workshops/discussions dealing with multilateral arrangements on anti-corruption
  2. To engage key stakeholders on legal compliance, law enforcement mechanisms, formulation of publicity and prevention strategies in line with international best practices and lesson son fighting corruption
  3. To draft documents directed to Inter-Governmental Organizations (i.e. UNDP: UNODC; UNCTAD) and other such arrangements on support or sponsored programs
  4. To organize and participate in meetings with potential development partners and anti­corruption stakeholders such as IFIs, Government institutions, bi-lateral and multi-lateral donors, private sector and civil society
  5. To maintain a database of relevant information to keep Zimbabwe abreast with changing trends on fighting corruption within a globalized and technologically advanced setup
  6. To maintain communication with Agencies involved in fighting corruption as well as maintain a database of regional/international meetings documentation and support activities
  1. To facilitate the review of relevant legislation for compliance with international requirements addressing corruption as well as the domestication of international mandatory’ legal provisions in respect of fighting corruption
  2. To assist with interpretation of international and multilateral provisions on anti-corruption
  3. To search for and avail information required for the negotiation of international agreements on anti-corruption in consultation with the Attorney General’s Office
  1. To provide protocol services to incoming and outgoing delegations
  2. To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLSANDATTRIBUTES

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences. International Relations or equivalent
  2. Experience in an Office responsible for fighting crime and corruption vouch be an added advantage
  3. Must be highly professional, assertive and innovative
  4. Thorough knowledge of international conventions and protocols relating to anti-corruption
  5. Possess good negotiation and interpersonal skills
  6. High level of integrity
