ACCOUNTANT: GRADE D

candidates to fill the above-mentioned position that has arisen at

our Head Office.

Main purpose of the Job

Financial reporting, cost and management accounting of the organ-

isation. The successful candidates will report directly to the

Finance Manager.

Essential Competencies and Requirements:

An accounting degree or equivalent.
A full professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, LIMA,
CIS is essential.

2 years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of SAP system is a distinct advantage.
Excellent analytical and computer skills.
Must possess high conceptual skills and be innovative.
Clean employment record.
Key Performance Areas:

Report on company financials as per accounting standards.
Production of the monthly financial and management reports.
Analysing financial ratios and advising on the health of the
business to management.

Preparation of budgets and reporting on same to management.
Analysing actual results with budgeted position, investigate
cause of deviations and compile variance report and

recommend corrective action.

Ensuring financial discipline through effective internal controls.
Coordination of interim and final external audits.
Planning and managing stock take and all month-end
procedures within set deadlines and to the required

professional standards.

Oversee statutory returns as required by legislation.
Supervision of junior accounting staff and any other duties as
delegated.
