Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the above mentioned post.
Reports to: Head Mechanic/Workshop Foreman
Station: Mamina Head office
Roles And Responsibilities
- Vehicle, plant and equipment repair & maintenance
- Preparation of daily plant returns.
- Preparation of vehicle, plant and equipment register
- To service vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule.
- Rotate and balance tires; To change oil and filters; lubricate vehicle parts; inspect and replace hoses, belts, mirrors, lamps; and maintain all fluid levels.
- To maintain accurate, updated records of preventive maintenance.
- To inspect vehicles and evaluate condition of systems, equipment, accessories, and lights; service as needed.
- Demonstrate process of preventive maintenance and visual inspections to mechanic helpers.
- Perform preventive maintenance; including bleeding of air tanks, on shop equipment according to established schedules.
- Any other duties assigned by the Head Mechanic.
Qualifications And Experience
- 5’0′ Levels including English Language.
- Journeyman Class 2 certificate from a recognisable institution.
- Should be at least 25 years and above.
- Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- At least 3 years working experience
- Must be a holder of class two driver’s license.
