Freda Rebecca Gold Mine has a vacancy for an Auto-Electrician who will be reporting to the Mobile Plant Foreman in the Underground Engineering Department.

Duties and responsibility

Performing diagnostics and repairs on Underground and Surface Mining Mobile Equipment.
Performing scheduled maintenance and statutory testing and inspections on all control and power circuit.
Installing of new vehicle wiring systems.
Troubleshooting, repairing and replacing faulty wiring systems and electric components.
Ability to read Electrical and Electronics schematic circuit diagrams.
To reduce the Mean Time to Repair(MTTR) for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HMEs).
Completing workorders and checklists for work or changes performed on all auto­electric circuits.
Spontaneous response to breakdowns on both surface and underground.

Qualifications.and.experience Class 1 Auto-Electrician. National certificate in Automobile Electrics. Apprenticeship training is an added advantage. At least 3 years experience in underground mining industry. Experience with Sandvik LH514 loaders, DD210, DL430, Epiroc ROC L8 drill rigs, Shantui and CAT FELs. Should have sound knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
