Duties And Responsibilities
The Incumbent Will Be Responsible For, Amongst Other Duties:-
• Head Of Council’s Technical Department
• To Ensure Efficient Management Of The Council’s Technical Department
• Road Construction And Maintenance
• Carrying Out Road Designs, Dams And Related Infrastructure
• Approval Of Engineering Plans And Drawings
• Design And Maintenance Of Water And Sewage Reticulation Systems
• Preparations Of The Department’s Annual Budget Drawing Of Civil Works Contracts And Management Of Civil Work’s Operations
Qualifications And Experience
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• A Master’s degree will be an added advantage
• Membership of the Zimbabwe Council of Engineers
• At least three (3) years post qualification experience
• At least 30 years old and mature
• A clean Class Four (4) driver’s licence is a MUST
• A citizen of Zimbabwe
• A clean criminal record
• A clean record of service within the Local Government fraternity
