Description
A local Civil Society Organisation which seeks to ensure that environmental and natural resources management policies, strategies and legal frameworks respond positively to the needs of marginalized women, men and youths living in urban and rural communities is inviting qualified consultants with relevant academic qualifications to train its staff on Data generation, security and safety in the use of new technologies.
In recent years, the cyber intrusion has been automated and irrespective of the type of data breach, severe consequences have been experienced by companies and individuals. Therefore, cybersecurity should be thorough and seamless for everyone. According to estimates by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, cybercrimes cost the global economy over 400 billion USD per year. Needless to say, data breaches and cyber-attacks will increase in due time as computer networks expand — cyber-attacks are getting bigger every day. This shows why cybersecurity matters.
Key Deliverables
The consultant deliverables are as follows: Conduct a training on use of information for social impact; Capacitate Staff members on digital security and privacy including how they can ensure data protection; and Build the capacity of staff members on how to use existing and new digital technologies in advocacy for protecting themselves and communities they serve from digital threats. The Consultant is expected to produce a user guide for the citizens, staff and communities.

Qualifications
The consultant must have requisite academic qualifications (Certificate, Diploma or Degree). S/he must have proven experience in conducting trainings in the following; digital security; data generation & the use of existing and new technologies in advocacy
