Amalima Loko Is A New USAID-Funded 5-Year Program Implemented By CNFA And 5 Partner Organizations Which Applies Community-Driven Approaches To Improve Food Security, Nutrition, And Natural Resource Management In Over 80 Communal Wards In Matabeland North.

Position Summary

As A Finance Officer You Will Be Required To Post Entries, Manage Records. Prepare Reports, Payments And Reconciliations.
Location – Hwange With Occasional Travel Within Amalima Loko Operational Area.

JOB TITLE​​ : ​​Finance Officer

REPORTS TO​​ ​: Financial/Payables Accountant

Duties And Responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Processing of payments to vendors.
• Review and process employee advances and acquittals.
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Assist Accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assist with other accounting tasks

Qualifications And Experience

• A holder of an Accounting Degree.
• At least 3 years’ relevant accounting experience, NGO experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirement
• Knowledge of USAID rules and regulations.
• Computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• Ability to manage complex working relationships.
• Excellent organizing skills
• Great attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential. Ability to speak and understand IsiNdebele and/or other languages spoken in Matabeleland North is preferred.
