As the Financial Controller, your responsibilities include:

• Acting as first (and second) point of contact for multiple subsidiaries around the globe and offers guidance on technical accountancy related cases.
• Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Ensure the execution and implementation of proper financial controls and analyses of the Company’s financial results and its statutory outlook (on the P&L, the balance sheet and the cashflows).
• Ensure proper financial data points to analyze the risks and opportunities on the financials.
• Develop forecast modelling on specific financial topics (such as leasing, balance sheet, cashflows).
• Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.
• Coordinate the Company’s annual audit with the independent auditors.
• Manage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to produce and distribute reliable, timely and accurate monthly and quarterly financial statements and steering information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Successfully rollout group finance projects (first-time adoption leasing, expense system) and act as project manager when needed.

Required skills and experience

• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS (postgraduate RA/CPA is a plus).
• Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree in Finance.
• 7+ years’ experience in accounting roles, Big4 or similar experience.
• Experience in roll-out of technical accounting updates / major release projects.
• Experience working in an international environment, comfortable in a multi-country and multi-culture business environment.
• An acknowledged team player, proactive approach, able to work in a very dynamic environment.
• Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills and experienced in Navision, Hyperion.
• An analytical, confident individual, flexible thinker with interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communicator in English both orally (informally and informal presentations) and in writing.
• Confident communicator across the business at all levels as well as external parties.
