Unit: COMMERCIAL PRINTING DIVISION  
Position Title: GENERAL MANAGER 
Job Specifications: 
• Providing leadership by articulating the organization's strategic direction to the business units. • Overall effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing and decision-making to meet budget sales volumes and revenues, profit margins and growth projections. • Ensuring coordination and teamwork between the different departments within the Division to create synergy and alignment, as well as optimal allocations of resources to maximize return. • Ensuring effective and cost-effective procurement strategies that are in line with Group policies are consistently implemented to protect margins and ensure continuity of operations. • Strategic skills development to align skills to future technological advancements and enable effective succession planning. • Continuous market development to grow existing customers to budget market share levels and attract new customers to meet new business contribution targets, including a focus on export market growth. • Identifying and managing business risks by developing and implementing risk mitigation programmes, including implementation of internationally recognized systems such as IS09001: 2015. • Driving the management and financial performance of the Division ensuring the attainment of Group performance targets, including investment justifications and proposals. • Ensuring that corporate policies are complied with and continuously reviewed for relevance • Preparation of reports for the Group Chief Executive Officer a nd the Board of Directors. • Directing, supervising, monitoring and evaluating the performance of staff of the Division. • Supervising the implementation of the Group's turnaround strategy of developing new export markets within the sub-region.

Work/Educational Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:  • Candidate should have a first degree in any of the major technical fields (Finance, Engineering, Human Resources, Sales, Marketing) • An MBA or MSc in Strategic Management • 5 years' relevant experience at a senior managerial level and a printing background would also be an added advantage.
