Mavambo Orphan Care (MOC) is a non-profit making organisation established in 2001 to safeguard and protect children and vulnerable households from abuse, exploitation, and violence. MOC works with OVC, Adolescents, Youths, and their Caregivers through provision of health, child protection, education, legal, parenting, economic strengthening, and nutrition. Vacancy : Health Advisor

Responsibilities:

The incumbent will provide health expertise to Cluster 1 consortium partners and advise on strategies to improve access to HIV care and treatment services for children, adolescents, and youth living with HIV.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing or Public Health,
  • Experience in HIV programming
  • •At least 5-7 years traceable experience in implementing health activities in OVC programming
  • Knowledge of evidence-based violence prevention models is an added advantage
  • Certified LIVES trainer is desirable.
  • Experience in training and facilitation in community-based care settings
  • A self-starter with ability to work under work pressure
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Must be a holder of a clean class 4 driver’s license.
