Cassava Smartech is looking for a Hydrologist to join the Clean City Team. The main purpose of the job is to provide daily operational service to the Water Services Team in order to ensure customer service excellence, process efficiencies, profitability and sustainability of the Clean City business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Result Areas
• Tracks water sources for the business to ensure sustainability.
• Assists in the development of business plans and financing schemes for water sources
• Tracks water abstraction, demand and availability.
• Assists in the planning of water resource development by forecasting and monitoring water usage.
• Ensures regulatory requirement compliance
• Deals with inquiries from external bodies and individuals, such as water regulators, consultants and researchers
• Produces daily, weekly and monthly reports on business water services
• Keeps up to date with new research and techniques in all areas of hydrology.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Water Resources, Hydrology or equivalent
• A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
• At least 2 – 4 years experience in a similar role
