MARKETING MANAGER (Reporting to the Executive Director Enterprise Division)
The incumbent must be able to shape and advance the communication strategy, and brand across internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate a deep understanding of contemporary marketing strategies and work closely with the production department to ensure quality checks and controls. Must exude leadership qualities that will see the formation of a strong team that strives for total quality management. Directs, administers and coordinates the activities of the organisation in support of policies, goals and objectives established by the organisation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for business development and innovation through research and evaluation of new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights.
Identifying and developing new markets and identifying shifts in the marketplace.
Working with production teams to manage new product development.
Executing marketing strategy and the execution of plans for existing products.
Responsible for customer experience management, and customer relationship building through partnerships and creation of synergies.
Must be able to execute brand management strategy and increase visibility across all product domains through digital marketing and all other methods of content marketing.
Leading the Marketing and Sales team strategy formulation and collaborating with various departmental units in the generation of the organisation’s strategic plan.
Serve as a partner to finance and product development in determining the viability of potential markets before the production of a product.
Managing launch campaigns for new products.
Managing distribution channels for products.
Creating an environment of strong team spirit, timely and effective communications, sense of urgency, high motivation and inspire teams to achieve goals in the immediate and longer term.
Be an active change-agent, promoting flexible and open mind-sets to new opportunities.
Presenting sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts and budgets for the sales and marketing department to the Executive Director Enterprise Development.
Managing the recruitment, coaching and performance monitoring of marketing officers and sales representatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
At least a Master’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
At least five (5) years experience in sales and marketing.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, lead and coordinate
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Exhibit effectiveness in holding conversations with customers, and other stakeholders at large.
Should be well versed in internet and media advertising.
Demonstrated ability to see the big picture in order to provide useful advice and input across the organisation.
