Freda Rebecca Gold Mine has a vacancy for a Mobile Plant Foreman who will be reporting to the Section Engineer in the Underground Engineering Department.

Accountabilities of the role

Responsible for maintenance, service and repair of mining mobile plant equipment including LHDs, Front End Loaders, Dump Trucks, Drill rigs and Utility vehicles.
Duties include planning and scheduling, organising and directing work of tradespersons and contractors including Auto-Electricians and Diesel Plant Fitters.
Monitoring jobs to ensure quality and compliance with job standards.
Recommending changes, improvements, new techniques or procedures.
Supervising all mobile plant workshop crews and performing duties of tradesman when necessary.
Overseeing inspections and maintenance of all mobile plant equipment including outsourced services.
Ensuring availability of critical spares and service kits.
Ensure scrupulous standards of housekeeping are maintained in and around the workshop.

Qualifications.and.experience A proven supervisory and performance track record in a Mining Mobile Plant Workshop. At least 5 years experience in a similar role. Class 1 Diesel Plant Fitter. National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering /Automotive Engineering. Should have sound knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. Exposure to Sandvik equipment including LH514, LHDs, Rock L8, DL 430 and DD210 Underground drill rigs.
