Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Coordinator - SAGE (Manicaland)
Reporting to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Specialist, the job holder is responsible for providing technical guidance in the implementation, monitoring, research, evaluation and documentation of the Supporting Adolescent Girls’ Education (SAGE) Project in Zimbabwe.
Accountabilities:
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)
- Leads the implementation of the project MER frameworks and M & E tools including ensuring regular updates of the frameworks, M & E tools and guidelines at PA level.
- Leads consortium partners in the roll-out of community-based monitoring and reporting systems in line with the project requirements at district cluster level
- Plans and coordinates data quality assurance, including frequent survey auditing and data spot checks.
- Coordinates the implementation of gender sensitive participatory monitoring tools.
- Ensures availability and accessibility of project monitoring data through analysis and triangulation of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Ensure all project monitoring, evaluation and research initiatives are conducted in line with Plan’s policies and procedures.
Evaluations
- Participates in the overall planning, design and coordination of project base, mid and endline surveys
- Ensures development and dissemination of evaluation findings to donors, partners, key stakeholders and communities and their utilization in learning activities.
- Conduct quality analysis of project evaluation reports against criteria defined in the evaluation standards
- Provide input and quality control for evaluation and research data collection tools as well as quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
Knowledge Management and Learning
- Facilitates the generation, storage and utilization of program information, including documentation of case studies and best practices.
- Analyses and compiles project monitoring information to support management decision making, inform adaptive management approaches and improve quality of program implementation.
- Coordinate and lead internal and external inputs required for designing and production of M&E reports and program learning products
Child Protection & gender equality mainstreaming
- Promotes and abides by Plan policies and procedures including but not limited to: Gender equality and inclusion mainstreaming, Safeguarding Policy; Code of Conduct and the related mandatory reporting responsibilities
Knowledge:
- A degree in Economics, Strategic Planning, Development Studies, or related studies.
- A post graduate degree in research and or monitoring and evaluation will be an added advantage.
- 3- 5 years relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of strategic planning processes.
- Knowledge of theories of child-rights programming and child protection (programmatic and safe-guarding)
- Knowledgeable on participatory M&E tools and systems

- Proficient in computer skills and use of research applications, like SPSS,
