Our client is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join their team.

Description:

Prior to departure of vehicles the Transport Manager captures trip sheets and
loading/customer information into the trip master file as per loading schedule
provided by the Operations and logistics Manager.

The Operations Supervisor will follow up on loaded documents to clearing agents
for pre-clearance. Management of pre-clearance documentation

Management of the driver controller ensuring and briefing: When the order and the
route are confirmed, the Operations Supervisor ensures that the Driver controller
completes a trip sheet with the designated number and attaches the load
confirmation or customer order.

The Operations Supervisor ensures that special instructions for loading are conveyed and understood by the driver.
The Operations Supervisor generates and authorises the toll request forms the drivers report to the cashier to collect required monies for trips.

Operations Supervisor ensures that all fuel orders or send to relevant border post and refuelling sites. Copies of orders should be attached to the trip sheet.

Whilst on trip the Operations Supervisor shall work with external parking facilities and security, tracking technicians to ensure the smooth operating and movement of the vehicles.

General communication with drivers correcting poor driving performance and behaviour to ensure the smooth operating and movement of vehicles.

Should there be discrepancies in the offloading of product the Operations Supervisor shall first investigate the situation before authorising drivers to sign offloading figures.

On the return of a vehicle the Operations Supervisor oversees the driver controller to ensure that all documentation is accounted for and used in the accurate generation of debrief exceptions reports.

Manage process of generating exception reports and identifying discrepancies.

Where discrepancies arise the Operations Supervisor shall thoroughly investigate such cases and ensure that the root cause is conveyed to the driver at the debrief process as such cases may warrant penalties on the driver commissions.
