DESCRIPTION 

ZESA Holdings (Pvt) Ltd is a state owned Company whose mandate is the generation, transmission, distribution and retailing of electricity, provision of telecommunication services as well as manufacturing and retailing of related electrical equipment. The Company is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the above position that has arisen within the Company and based at its Head Office in Harare.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

DUTIES
Preparing the Company’s annual procurement plan
Determining the procurement methods to be used
Facilitating tender advertisements and the administration of the tenders in line with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (PPDPA) Act (Chapter 22.23)
Administering, formulating and implementing procurement contracts

Maintaining records of supplier contracts and agreements, goods ordered and received as well as an up to date register of tenders
Providing procurement technical advice to Management, staff and Evaluation Committees

Preparing the Company’s Procurement Management Unit reports
Supervising subordinates

REQUIREMENTS
A Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
Membership of a recognized professional Institution.
4 years relevant experience
Knowledge of SAP is a must
Clean class 4 driver’s license
Knowledge of Public Procurement is an added advantage
A person of unquestionable integrity
Ability to work under pressure
Strong communication and negotiation skills
A team player
