About the Role

The role works within the International programmes department and the wider programme funding remit. To support Christian Aid’s Evidence and Collaboration for Inclusive Development project in Zimbabwe. To help ensure that project resources and planned project activities are undertaken within budget and time frame to enable direct benefit to target communities and programme impact. To assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of Christian Aid’s projects, providing effective and timely support to partner organisations and other project stakeholders, enabling them to a quality project, and ensuring that this is in line with Christian Aid’s global and country strategy. To act as appropriate interface amongst implementing partners and Christian Aid and/or donors including coordinating feedback, representation in key stakeholder meetings and contributing to strengthening of partner relationships.

About you

You have experience working with a diverse portfolio of partners in consortiums. You have experience meeting the compliance and reporting requirements of institutional donors. Your expertise on programme management include inclusion, accountability and experience working with marginalised communities (women and people with disability). You are competent in research including participatory approaches, data collection and analyses, use of various monitoring, evaluation and learning tools and methodologies are able to strengthen partner capacity. You have a sound knowledge of accountability, governance, power and rights. You will have a degree in social sciences or related field.

Further information

This role requires applicants to have the right to work in Zimbabwe where this position is based. The incumbent must be a permanent resident in Zimbabwe. Successful candidate will be expected to start in January 2020.

Contract terms: Initial contract is fixed term for one year. Renewal subject to performance and availability of funding.
