Description

FACT Zimbabwe, a leading national health and community focused organisation is recruiting in anticipation of a new three year grant under the Global Fund initiative.

The Position
Responsibilities including recruitment, selection, management , support and capacity support & building to sub grantees and communities for improved HIV, Malaria and TB outcomes;
Coordination of partner activities and implementation process to facilitate community participation and use of available health and HIV related services including identifying and activating demand for better access and quality services;
Facilitate and foster increased and effective grantee organisations with local communities and systems for better utilisation of health services;
Introduce and reinforce innovation and support to community led interventions and service provision for improved access to care and support for HIV;
Lead planning, support and critical review of partner activities and approaches to meet grant objectives and goals.
Capacity assessment and support to partner organisations and communities;
Organise, coordinate, support meetings with sub grantees, funders and communities for the achievement of grant objectives; Report writing and analysis at both sub-recipient and sub-sub recipient level;
Regularly update project manager on the progress, challenges and opportunities present by the project.

Key Attributes and Qualifications
Masters in social science, public health or equivalent;
Ability to lead, organise, facilitate and manage partner organisations;
Ability to communicate effectively and support development and sustenance of community systems promoting access and demand for health services;
Ability to work with minimum supervision;
Experience in similar position of not less than 2 years;
Strong community based training and capacity building skills;
Ability to work with minimum supervision;
Working knowledge of Zimbabwe’s indigenous languages;
Valid class 4 driving license an added advantage.
