SOS Children’s Villages Zimbabwe has six Schools near its villages around Zimbabwe.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
The Relief Teacher will be expected to: Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to all pupils in the class; Maintain the classroom register and pass on vital information to the office; Consult and inform parents regarding pupils’ progress of your class and individual pupils; Contribute to the further development of the school; Contribute to the good classroom atmosphere, including stimulating wall displays; Conducts himself/ herself in a professional manner in terms of both dressing and behaviour and leading by example; Show interest in their pupils and teaching ways to encourage enthusiasm and good manners and respect; Actively participate in co-curricular activities; Understands the new curriculum framework and the role of the teacher.
Qualifications
The Relief Teacher must have: 5 ‘O’ Levels including Maths and English; Degree /Diploma in teaching with 5 years’ experience;Certificate/diploma or a course in Child safeguarding, care and protection is an added advantage; Have excellent report writing skills and be able to operate in a highly confidential environment; Computer literate; Good communication skills
