Duties And Responsibilities

The role – what we expect from you:

• Implement the Procurement strategy and ensure alignment with Corporate objectives and milestones.

• Review procurement policies, practices and systems for alignment with Corporate objectives and compliance with legal requirements.

• Identify risks, develop risk mitigation systems and effectively monitor risks for the procurement department.

• Develop, seek approval and implement framework for tender systems.

• Negotiate with suppliers of key products, goods and services and manage major procurement bids and agreements.

• Recommend approval of purchases to relevant approving authorities.

• Maintain the Group Fixed Assets Register.

• Approve Assets transfers and Asset Disposals.

• Carry out 1st level checks of Group’s Capital Expenditure budget.

• Motivate, counsel and discipline staff.

Qualifications And Experience

Qualifications, Skills and experience required:

• Possess a relevant degree in Purchasing and Supply, Supply Chain Management or similar.

• Have a professional CIPS Diploma or similar qualification.

• Possess at least five years’ experience in Purchasing and Supply preferably acquired in a financial services or related environment.

• Should possess solid communication and negotiating skills.

• Have excellent analytical skills.

• Possess high levels of ethical integrity.

• Flexible and adaptive to a fast paced working environment.
