Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the above post that have arisen at Nengo Builders.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Promoting employee health and safety through conducting workplace risk assessments to identify safety and health hazards and risks
and developing hazard control methods, procedures and programs.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Developing and maintaining SHE system documentation.
• Initiating reports to NSSA for all statutory report’s reportable accidents, all statutory environmental incidents/accidents to the
Environmental Management Agency and ensure availability and compliance to all required permit/licenses.
• Ensuring the internal reporting and investigation of incidents, accidents and environmental events conducted to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinating and conducting SHE training needs identification, overseeing the training and evaluation of its effectiveness.
Qualifications And Experience
• A degree /diploma in occupational Health and Safety or related qualification.
• At least three (3) years experience preferably in a Construction or Mining environment
• Possession of OSHEMAC or NEBOSH or SAMTRAC certificate an added advantage.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, problem solving, computer literate and organizing skills.
• Clean class 4 driver’s license.
