Post A: Technician – Applied Geology laboratory (2 Posts), Zvishavane Campus

Work/Educational Requirements

Qualifications A-level passes in Physical Sciences Diploma/HND in Technician Course or first degree in Earth Sciences and at least one year postgraduate experience in geological and rock samples preparation; and laboratory work. Relevant industry and research experience are highly valued. Knowledge of IT and possession of a Driver’s Licence will be added advantages. Duties & Responsibilities The candidate must be capable of preparing rock thin sections, polished rock slab, setting up petrological microscopes, calibration of basic laboratory equipment; and maintaining laboratory equipment inventories. The candidate is also expected to assist in organizing field trips, and assist in student placements for Work Related Learning.
