Position summary
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Adolescent Girls, and Young Women (AGYW) Program Facilitator will collaborate closely with the project team in their assigned district to ensure effective implementation of AGYW grant activities.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate in-school and community based programmes that support AGYW empowerment and promoting access to HIV and SRHR services; Ensuring all relevant stakeholders are included in the planning and implementation of projects as appropriate; Ensuring familiarity with donor compliance issues, ensuring the AGYW project is compliant with these and Plan procedures; Ensuring adherence to Plan’s administrative, financial and logistical Plan systems/procedures so support functions are carried out effectively and efficiently; Monitoring the selection of beneficiaries for project activities, with an eye to ensuring that the most vulnerable and marginalized beneficiaries are prioritized; Managing crucial project documents including reviewing for accuracy, and generating periodic project implementation and monitoring reports; Identifying any potential issues or risks that could affect the progression of the project and communicate to the Project Manager; Closely manage the project schedule, monitoring deadlines for each project task and report any potential delays to the Project Manager; Promotes and abides by Plan International policies and procedures including but not limited to: Gender equality mainstreaming, Child Safeguarding Policy; Code of Conduct and the related mandatory reporting responsibilities
Qualifications and experience
A First Degree in Development Studies, Social Science, Gender, Project Management, or any other related degree from a recognized institution; Additional qualifications and experience in project management, report writing and social/community development skills will be an added advantage; A minimum of 3 years practical experience working with rural communities; Knowledge of matters related to HIV/AIDS transmission and prevention, and strategies to influence policies in these domains
